I wanted to use all of my summer colors that I have on hand because summer is fading quickly in my part of the world. I am one of those girls that likes to wear the colors that go with the season, but I tend to venture off of that every once in a while.

So here is the lovely Revlon Pretty in Papaya one of the scented polishes that came out this spring. It is not a true red maybe more of a cross between a red and a coral. I am really into this shade for some reason right now. And the smell is not overpowering in the least. (please forgive my cuticles, since I filed my nails down it is so much easier for me to pick at them)

This is three coats and you can still see the VNL.

I really despise sheers, but this one came out pretty good. The polish was thin and went on well.

Next up is a polish from Claire's. It's one of those 4-in-one polishes. This is Hawaii.

This is three coats and it did look different with each coat I did. If you look at my ring finger you will see that it is more orange than the rest of my nails. I had to go over that once more because I got a fuzzy stuck in it :)

This is also a couple days after wearing it. The polish is a bit thick and leaves streaks, but that might be because of the colors combining.

S. Vanessa Hailey from Casual Lavish asked me about this one. And I am really not good at describing colors. I think it's kind of a bubblegum cream. I really did not like this when I first put it on. Ever since I started blogging and checking out other blogs about nail polish, I have really gotten away from the pinks and reds because there are soo many other colors out there. Now that I have had it on for about 2 days I am really starting to like it.

Hello all! I had some time to kill today between my mom finally coming over to see the house and my best friend coming over (we have lived here for 2 weeks and neither of them had come to see it!). So I decided to do a 4th mani. I was thinking Konad and I was going to use plate m14:

but after I saw Colette @ My Simple Pleaseure firework mani, it got me thinking of the flowing stripes I used to do on my nails way back when before I heard about Konad. I thought the stripes really resembled fireworks the most, so I copied a teeny tiny bit :)

Let's start with the mani that I did last week: Finger Paints Artist's Sapphire. Mary @ Body and Soul did a post on this np brand and I agree with her, I love it!
This is 2 coats with Nailtek II basecoat and Seche topcoat. It went on smoooooooth! All pics are artificial light.

Here it is with Nfu-Oh #65 and Konad plate m36. From reading Brooke's post I really learned a lot. I learned to not SCRAPE too hard. This was something that I always did. All you need is a light scrape. I also learned to work quickly, especially when using the holo Nfu-Oh's. This helped prevent my polish applying stringy. I only got 2 that were a little stringy on the ends, which is a great improvement. I also learned that I need to buy some Konad special polishes! I might be able to get away with it for a little while longer :)

These pics are taken pre-cleanup. I had to apply another coat of Artist's Sapphire b/c it was chipping (I had worn it for about 5 days).

So idk why I can do one hand really well with Konad:

I know that this np for Konading was not the best to use for it, but I was hoping it would work :(
And, of course, it didn't. I like the idea of black np Konad on top of a pink base, I know I should probably use a Konad special np to get the look I want. Maybe next time I order plates I will get some special np's.

Let me start off by saying that this color really surprised me! I didn't think I would really like it. Along with being sick today, I couldn't find a color that I really was excited about and wanted to wear. I just got a Trans Design haul, Jewel-Osco haul, and Sally Beauty Supply Store haul and out of all of these I couldn't find anything I was crazy about or wanted to try?! I must be nuts, right?
Anyways, I got the Maybelline Cutie Pink out and after the first stroke on my thumb nail, I was hooked! It is soo bright and shiny, I just love it! Enough talking here's the pics! This is 2 coats that went on smoooooth! The only quirp (sp?) I have about this is that after the 2 coats it wasn't very shiny. But after I applied the topcoat it shined brillantly. FYI: This is pre-cleanup. I was too excited and had to show all of you!

The NOTD today is Revlon Plum Seduction. It is a new color to the Revlon family and I'm not too sure if I like it. It's a bright creme fuschia, I guess. I don't know it just doesn't do it for me, ya'know?

Whaddya'll think? I don't know if I would rock either of these very often. The holo on a bright creme fuschia just doesn't grab me. What about you?

This reminds me of just after high school. My best friend and I worked at Walgreens and wore this one out! More so the Blush Diamond that was our favorite. I still have that one too. I bid on a bunch of different colors on eBay.

Lately I have been obsessed with holos. I can't get enough of them. I really want to get the Sally Hansen Magical Nail Makeup, but everywhere I find them they are about $12 not including shipping! I am going to be ordering some Nfu-Ohs soon. Brooke from GETCHA NAILS DID is gonna try out the formula of Nfu-Ohs' holos and let me know what she thinks. Nevertheless I am probably still gonna order them. They are $8.50 at fabluoustreet.com, So I think these are a nice replacement.

This is 3 coats. It was kinda runny. I don't know if that's from it's age or the formula.

So I really wanted to do a nude and here it is Savvy French Cafe that I got with my Sally Beauty Store Haul.

I'm not sure if I really like it. Sometimes it looks orangey, like someone who has faked-and-baked for too long. And sometimes it is true to this color you see here. But not very close to the color of it in the bottle.

I used 3 coats instead of 2, like it said to use, just to avoid streakage. And I chopped my nails down, with clippers. Why you ask? B/c it's just easier. (Again the laziness, people!) I can't wait for like 2 hours just to do one nail with a glass file. So I chopped them down, then had it out with the glass file.

Now I did chop while I had my Bouquet of Red Roses on, so I went a little deep. 'Ouch!' you say. Well it wasn't that far down, but I still need to file a little more just to make sure they're even.

What do you think? Would you try this nude?
